Dysnomia or Dýsnomia (Greek Δύσνομια), in Greek mythology, was the daemon or spirit that personified civic disorder and lawlessness.
Like the other great evils of mankind, Dysnomia was the daughter of Eris (discord), with no father assigned to her.
In her actions she was the companion of Adikia (injustice), Até (ruin) and Hibris (violence), and her opposite daemon was Eunomia (civic order). So narrated Solon, who described the great evils that this spirit had brought to the Athenians, as opposed to the benefits that legislation and order in the city would bring.
