Meléagro, in Greek mythology, was the brother of Dejanira, both children of Aeneus, the king of Chalidon.
Soon after his birth, his mother learned that when the log in the fireplace was consumed, Meléagro would die. So she put out the fire with water and hid the log.
Years later, when Meléagro killed his two uncles, his mother's brothers, his mother remembered the prophecy and threw the log into the fire, thus causing the death of her son.
Meléagro is described as blond in the Iliad.
